<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe 16th<\/sup> and 17th<\/sup> November, a bunch of DDT players went to the city of lights – Eindhoven, to see the glowing festival, Luis and Britt and, AND to play at LED 2019 indoor tournament!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hinderik\u2019s\ncar (Enno, Kamille, Matthias, Rino and Hinderik!!) arrived first on\nFriday night at Luis and Britt\u2019s and went to have dinner before\ndiscovering the Glowing city. The Bertet\u2019s car arrived a bit later.\nThey had picked up a mysterious visitor player on their way, Marcel!\nYeaah!! Marcel and Steph still had time to be part of Friday nights’\ntour! Benoit stayed at Luis\u2019s place with our two wonderful\nsupporters, score keepers and future Frisbee stars (tuurlijk!),\nTimotee and Mia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\ncity was glowing and alive that Friday night. It was nice to see.\nHowever, with the help of Jesse we ended the evening in some obscure\nbars!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesse\nwent on with the party, the rest of the team was reasonable and went\nto bed not too late to be up and ready for an early start on Saturday\nmorning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Luis\nand Britt\u2019s living room was \u201ctidy\u201d (at least without sleeping\nbag or mattresses) and people fed by 8:30! Time to rumble… and go\nto the sports hall for our first game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Elisa\nwas there, ready, as always.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our\nfirst game was against Jop\u2019s team, Ultimate Glow, a pickup team\nfull of national players. We took the lead at the start and manage to\nkeep it (I think). The game was intense but good. It was fun. We won\nby two points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Next\nwas a Belgian team, the White Foxes. The game was also very intense\nand similarly pleasant. There were some discussions about lines but\nall got resolved with a smile\u2026. and some more discussions!! The\nlead of the game was changing but at the end, the Foxes kept it and\nfinally won by 2 points. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nthird game was against team Tosti. We started the game well and were\nleading most of the game. But we gave some discs away towards the\nend; Benoit got injured; and we ended losing this one as well by one\nor two points. Well\u2026 It was time to have a small rest after this\nfirst pool but the day was not over, we still had 2 games to play!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\ntwo last games (Swamp Dragons and Pandas) were a bit easier and we\nwon without frightening ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally\nat 6 (and some bananas, as we say in French) it was time to shower,\nhave some beer(s) and food!… And get ready for the \u2026. GLOW IN THE\nDARK party!! Mia couldn\u2019t wait for the party to start but after\ndinner the only thing she wanted was to go and enjoy her sleeping\nbag. Benoit, Timotee and Mia dashed before the beer race brilliantly\nrun by Kamille, Enno and Matthias!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nparty went on between the drinking card games, limbo, dancing and\nmore\u2026 But what happened at LED stays at LED, isn\u2019t it?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The\ngood thing of Sunday morning was we only had to play at 9:45! The bad\nthing was breakfast stopped at 9 anyway… Well\u2026 then we were\n\u201cawake\u201d for our first game again XLR8S (sorry, Radioative Mr\nBurns)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\nwent smoothly\u2026 Was the opponent team more tired than us? And a bit\nless experienced. We ended first of the pool and had to play the last\nof another strong pool which was \u2026 The White Foxes! The rematch was\neven more pleasant than the first one and a clear victory for the\nfoxes this time. No chance to get to the 5th<\/sup>\nplace\u2026 Let\u2019s try the 9th<\/sup>\nthen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After\na long break we played Positive vibrations, a French team (we did\nspeak English for the circle though\u2026). We started ok but had a loss\nin concentration, energy (both?) in the middle. Catching up at the\nend but it was not enough to take the victory. We lost by 1 point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So\nplaying for the 11th<\/sup>\nplace. And another French speaking team, Mixte Soupe. This one was\ntough, we were tired but we managed to trade points until the end and\nwon the last point!<\/p>\n\n\n\n To\nsummarise, we got 11th<\/sup>\nplace, glowing smiling faces (and arms and neck!), glimmery vibes,\nradiating beers and pindakaas sandwiches and a good night of sleep on\nSunday night.
